My Journey as an Author
I have been making an effort to write books since I was ten. Even though I had a degree in economics and finance, I found the tedium of being an accountant unbearable. For this reason, in 1995, I decided to take a risk and become a journalist.
At the time, the newspaper “168 Chasa” was a legend – it was the most authoritative and popular newspaper in the country. They advertised for an economic journalist, I was selected and I have been working there ever since. It was like a dream come true!
In 2012, I was promoted to Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “168 Chasa” newspaper.
Additionally, since 2018 I have been working as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Cosmos”, the oldest and most esteemed magazine for popular science, which is a great honor to me.
In 2014, I wrote and published my first book about the mythical Bulgarian chief of WW2 police Nikola Geshev, who many believed had been killed by the communists. The examination of his correspondence and his brother’s records revealed that he had been still alave after the communist coup of September 9, 1944.
In 2018, my documentary book on Kim Philby became one of the Top 5 bestsellers for several weeks.
The book was launched at G. S. Rakovski National Defense College in Sofia and was presented by Major-General Grudi Angelov, the Commandant of the College. After an interesting discussion with military experts, I organized a second launch at the National Library in Sofia for a broader audience. The book succeeded so greatly that two short films were shot to commemorate it. I was invitated to multiple television shows, and many articles widely discussed my story about Philby.
Owing to the book’s popularity, a second print of the Bulgarian edition is now being prepared.
Additionally, I am in the process of writing two new books that revolve around the idea of the super-intellect.
